Third-Party Validation
A named customer, analyst, or independent stat replaces a thousand words of self-praise.
Self-claim is cheap. Customer claim is expensive (you had to earn the right to use it). The latter is worth 10x the former in coverage outcomes.
Hierarchy of validation
- Named Fortune 500 customer quote — gold
- Independent analyst with attribution — silver
- Public usage data (downloads, deployments) — bronze
- Anonymous customer quote — basically worthless
